Last sketch for the month. Sargent's piece Dancer, replaced with Kill Bill's Go Go! :P

My next homage piece! Mashup of Rockwell & Rembrandt! And threw in some random stuff in there too.

So I decided to start with John Sargent's piece Madame X and turn her into a ninja assasin! haya! :P

My brother just took a picture of the sign that depicts my work! woo-hoo! Well, they gave me their logo (head of the girl only) and they asked if I can add a body to her. And they liked it! :D

My last sketch of this month for 3A sketch thread. Depicts the last scene of the play. Really enjoyed this month! Dabbed into the watercolor approach in Photoshop. Must do more! :D

Second sketch of the month. Another scene from the play. Iemon as he followed Oiwa's orders to annhiliate the Ito family. In case you're wondering the kanji in the back, means "insane person."

Another sketch themed month means more entries! Here's my first for this month. One of the characters of the story as she discovers her face has changed not for the good unfortuntely. Great story! I believe I have one more after this one.

Chiaroscuro sketch month

Okay, last one for the month. A little zombie hunter set-up. This one was pretty challenging. But I just pushed myself to color this and what to leave black. Hope you like!

This is my second entry for the sketch thread. Decided to do a color version. But also, my first attempt at painting in Photoshop w/color. It was a challenge! But I pushed myself to see what I can do! It's a big accomplishment for me and will do more in the near future! :D

First entry for this sketch month's themed, chiaroscuro. Went old-school gangster w/this one.

More on the story I'm working on. I am focusing on one of the characters for The Night Crew. Also, I have entered this in the Original Character Contest. Doesn't matter if I win or not, as the organizer has emphasized, it's more about the feedback. What works, what doesn't. But this story has been lingering in my head for so long. Now it's time to make it visual...

BABA YAGA!

last sketch for baba. this one has a more "trojan horse" approach to it.

And my third! I can't stop sketching babas! I donno why! But this one is the most outlandish.

it's baba yaga floating over some prey! had fun making this one. I attempted to capture the folklore flavor. but i like it!

Another entry (& last) for the War theme sketch contest. It was real fun and really pushed myself even further by experimenting w/ technique & color. But need to admit, this piece turned out too busy.

So more experimenting w/color. I've been reading Ash Wood's ZvR comic & the coloring in it is so simple & inspiring! And thought of trying it on this piece. hmm, not so bad.

The piece speaks for itself. Just realised the colors might not be a wise choice. It seems hard on the eyes. Well, can't learn without trying.

Juz Experimenting...

Just starting to experiment more w/Photoshop. I was always fond of the sketchy look. It just gives it life. Anyway, this is my first "out of the comfort zone" piece. I think it turned out pretty well. I'll keep going with this and somehow perfect this style I'm developing. hmmm. :)

Tree Sketches!

Tree sketches! Tell you the truth, nothin suprises me more than drawing more than I ever did because of 3A and their sketch contests! Whew! There is some super talent goin on there, and it ain't easy to win. But greatest thing about it, is the drive it gave me to get better and not to keep the sketch book in my closet!
